1.If comparison
between→ two noun i.e., noun or noun equivalents then after ‘prefer’ ’to’ is
used.→(Prefer के बाद to का प्रयोग होता है यदि तुलना दो noun या noun
equivalents में हो तो I )
Example
She prefers milk
to tea.
Milk→Noun
Tea→Noun
Equivalent. (अर्थात संज्ञा अनुरूप )
Note→ If the
comparison between two Infinitives then use of ‘rather than’ = after ‘prefer’.(किंतु ‘rather than’ का प्रयोग ‘prefer’ के बाद होता है यदि तुलना दो Infinitives के बीच हो रही हो तो I )

He prefers to sit
rather than sleep.

2. After Preferable → “to”
is used.( Preferable के बाद “to” का प्रयोग होता है I )
Example
Winter is preferable
to summer.
3.If adjectives are
joined with “and” then both will be in the same degree.
