Common Errors Related to Degree Change for Competitive Exams Group A

Degree
Types of degree
1.Positve Degree.
2.Comparative Degree. 
3.Superlative Degree.
Uses:-
1.Positve DegreeHe is good.(For a single person.)
2.Comparative DegreeHe is better than you.(The differences between the essence of the two persons). Here “The” make senses.
3.Superlative DegreeRam is the tallest boy in the class.(For difference among more than two)

Tall (Only For a Single Person केवल एक व्यक्ति के लिए)


Taller (Comparison of Their Feature, Between Two Personsदो व्यक्ति या वस्तुओं के गुणों की तुलना के लिए)
Tallest
(For More than Twoदो से अधिक के लिए)
He is good.
Or
He is as good as you.
He is better than you.
Ram is the tallest boy in the class.
Rule‘as’is used for comparison.
Rule‘More’ is used for comparison.
Rule‘Most’ is used for comparison.

Comparative Rules


1.Comp. + than + all other + noun (plural)


2.Comp. + than + any other + noun (singular)


3.’The’ is used in the place where the word “of the two” present just after comparative degree.(The का प्रयोग वहीं होगा जहाँ Comparative Degree बाद “of the two” शब्द हो I )


4.When “to or than” is used after comparative degree then the is not used before it.(लेकिन जहाँ comparative degree के बाद to या than का प्रयोग हो तो the comparative के पहले नही लगेगा I )

Some very important rules.(कुछ महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य)
1.“Unique,Perfect,Unmatched,Excellent,Unparalleled,Major,Universal,Extreme,Whole,Full,Circular,Spherical,Round,Complete,Rectangular,Triangular,Parallel,Milky,Golden,Lunar”→Its a superlative in meaning but as a form its a positive degree. →(ये शब्द स्वरूप में positive degree हैंकिंतुअर्थ में superlative degree हैं I )
Example.
Her beauty is unmatched.(उसकी सुंदरता अतुलनीय है I )
So,Neither ‘more’’=before it for (comparative) nor ‘most’ for (superlative)(अतः  तो इनके पहले ‘more’ लगाकर comparative और  हि ‘most’ लगाकर superlative बनाया जा सकता है I )
What types of common errors are asked related to above?
So, common errors are asked including more and most into the above sentences.
(किस तरह से common errors पुछे जाते हैं उपरोक्त खंड से ?
अतः उपरोक्त शब्दों में more and most लगाकर common errors परिक्षाओं में पुछे जाते हैं I )
Example
This is one of the most major operations. (x)
→This is one of the major operations. (√)
2.“Senior,Superior,Inferior,Junior,Prior,Posterior”→Preposition ‘to’ is used but after these sentences= than’→(the conjunction )‘is not used.→(इन शब्दों के बाद preposition ‘to’ का व्यवहार होता है कि conjunction ‘than’ का I )
Example
He is senior to me. (√)
Note- Even ‘more’ and ‘most’ is not used before it.(साथ ही इनके पहले ‘more’ और ‘most’ नही लगता I )
He is more senior to me. (x)
3.Minor,Uterior,Major,Interior,Exterior→These neither most/more (before) nor ‘than/to’(after) is used it.→(ऐसे शब्द positive degree के विशेषण हैं अतः  तो इनके पहले ‘more/most’ एवं  ही ‘than/to’ का प्रयोग इनके बाद होता है I )
Example
This is minor problem.
(VVI)→4.After Comparatively/Relatively, positive degree of an adjective is used.( Comparatively/Relatively के बाद विशेषण के positive degree का व्यवहार होता है I )
Example
The weather is comparatively hot today. (√)
Instead of ‘hotter’ (x)
5.Positive degree is used before→‘Enough’.
‘Enough’ के पहले Positive degree का उपयोग होता है I )
Example
He is intelligent enough to understand your tricks.

Note→Always Positive degree is used before→‘Enough’.
Wrong sentence is given in exam. given as below→
For this/ prestigious post / he is smarter enough / to get selected / No error.
                                                      (x)
→For this prestigious post  he is enough to get selected.  (√)
