Common Errors from Noun,Pronoun and other Grammar Group A

Whenever we talk to a person we unknowingly do the common mistake whoever we are whether one is student,a lady, a businessman, a government employee and so on. We all do some mistake while speaking but we should rectify it practicing the sentences.
Common Errors in the use of words
1.My mustache are black. (x)
→My mustache is all black. (√)
2.I need a blotting. (x)
I need a blotting paper. (√)
3.He works better than me. (x)
He works better than I. (√)
4.I availed of the opportunity. (x)
I availed myself of the opportunity. (√)
5.The two sisters are quarreling with one another. (x)
The tow sisters are quarreling with each other. (√)
6.He is guiltyIsn’t it? (x)

7.I beg you leave. (x)
I beg leave of you. (√)
8.He is more cleverer than his brother. (x)

Errors In the Use of Noun-Words.

4.Her hairs are all jet black. (x)

Note-Some words like- “Advice,Mischief,Abuse,Alphabet.” remains in singular,these are not used as plural.
14.The Ramanuj gave us many advices. (x)
The Ramanuj gave us many pieces of advice. (√)
15.My younger brother did many mischiefs. (x)
My younger brother did many acts of mischief. (√)
16.Kamal gave me many abuses. (x)
Kamal gave me many words of abuse.
17.I have learnt the alphabets. (x)
I have learnt the letters of the alphabet.
Note- “Rupee,Dozen,Mile,Year,Foot” if these words comes after any numeral then singular verb is used after that.
18.We bought two dozens pencils. (x)
We bought two dozen pencils. (√)
19.He ran in two miles race. (x)
He ran in two mile race. (√)
20.Abida is ten years old girl. (x)
Abida is ten year old girl. (√)
21.It’s a three feet-rule. (x)
It’s a three foot-rule.
Note-“Vegetables,Spectacles,Trousers,Himalayas,People,Orders,Repairs” these words are always used in a plural form.
22.I had gone to buy vegetable. (x)
I had gone to buy vegetables. (√)
23.The road is closed for repair. (x)
The road is closed for repairs. (√)
24.The judge passed order for his release. (x)
The judge passed orders for his release. (√)
25.Very few peoples are hard-working. (x)
Very few people are hard-working. (√)
26.His spectacle is very fine. (x)
His spectacles are very fine. (√)
27.The scissor is blunt. (x)
The scissors are blunt. (√)
28.Your trouser is not loose. (x)
You trousers are not loose. (√)
29.The Himalaya is the highest mountain. (x)
The Himalayas are the highest mountains. (√)
Note- “Fish,Deer,Sheep,Cattle” comes with a singular form of nouns.
30.The fisherman catches many fishes in the pound. (x)
The fisherman catches many fish in the pond. (√)
31.I know that sheeps and deers live in the zoo. (x)
I know that sheep and deer live in the zoo. (√)
32.The cattles are grazing in the field of Ramesh. (x)
The cattle is returning in the field of Ramesh. (√)
Note- “Gentry” word is used in a plural from.
33.The gentry of the town has been invited. (x)
The gentry of the town have been invited. (√)
Note- Some people use the words which are missing in the sentences while speaking.These words make the someone laugh.So, try to rectify the missing of word in your sentences.
34.This is not my copy. (x)
This is not my copy-book. (√)
35.Bring some blotting from the office. (x)
Bring some pieces of blotting paper from the office. (√)
36.She lives in the boarding. (x)

Note- Sometime unused words or extra fillers are used in the sentences that should not be used.
38.Your servant is a coward boy. (x)

39.She is my cousin sister. (x)
